Privacy Policy
Last updated August 10, 2026 · Version 2026-08-10
This Privacy Policy explains how GAMJA, operated by Bestimate, collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects personal information when you use the platform.
Information we collect
We collect account and profile details such as your display name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, profile image, role, location area, and verification information that you choose to provide.
We collect content and records created through GAMJA, including posts, comments, messages, reports, moderation records, uploaded media, lost-and-found locations, sightings, and ownership claim information.
We may collect technical information such as device, session, security, error, and page interaction signals needed to operate, protect, and improve the service.
How we use information
We use information to create and protect accounts, publish and manage rescue content, provide messaging and notifications, review verification requests, investigate reports, prevent misuse, respond to support requests, and maintain platform reliability.
We limit access to exact locations, ownership evidence, private messages, and report details to the people and administrators who need that information for the relevant workflow.
Public information and contact choices
Public pages may show your display name, profile image, role, verification status, broad location, and the rescue or community content you publish.
WhatsApp visibility is optional and off by default. Public profile visibility and individual lost-and-found post visibility are separate choices, and you may hide WhatsApp across both surfaces from your account settings.
Do not include private contact details, exact home locations, or ownership evidence in public text or images unless you intend that information to be public.
Service providers and sharing
We share information only when needed to operate GAMJA, comply with law, protect users or animals, or use infrastructure and communication providers that process information on our behalf.
We do not sell personal information. Information that you choose to publish may be viewed, copied, indexed, or shared by other people outside GAMJA.
Mobile messaging
GAMJA uses the mobile or WhatsApp number provided by a user only to send authentication and account-verification messages requested by that user. Message frequency varies based on user-initiated verification requests. Message and data rates may apply.
We do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise provide mobile phone numbers or messaging opt-in data or consent to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share this information with communication service providers only as necessary to deliver messages requested by the user.
Retention and deletion
We retain account and content information while it is needed to provide the service, support user choices, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect platform and animal safety.
Safety reports and enforcement records are retained for one year after the report is closed or the final action is taken, then deleted or de-identified. Records needed for an active investigation, dispute, or legal obligation may be retained for the additional period required for that purpose.
Temporary unauthenticated lost-and-found drafts expire after 30 days. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or remove identifiers so it can no longer reasonably be linked to a person.
Your choices and requests
You may update eligible profile and contact settings, change public contact preferences, withdraw optional visibility choices, and request access, correction, or deletion through GAMJA support channels.
We may verify account ownership before completing a privacy-sensitive request. Some safety or legal records may be retained after account deletion only for the limited purpose and period described above.
Policy updates
We may update this policy when the service, providers, or legal requirements change. The current version and update date will be published on this page.
